This spring, CENTRE released a beautiful folding table system. At first glance, it looks like a table for the living room, but it is also well suited to outdoor environments. Japanese craftsmanship, the pursuit of functionality and durability, and uncompromising detailing make the price even more special. Introduction of CENTRE
A research project was started by a group of artists in 2020. The table is always at the center of people, whether it be a meal with family, a conversation with friends, or the act of creating something. Their "Folding Table" is designed for both indoor and outdoor environments with a foldable structure, expandable modules, and attachments that can be used in a variety of situations. Its straightforward form fits into any space and is designed to be used for a long time, and is equipped with ideas and functions based on fieldwork.

The launch, which took place in April this year, featured an impressive exhibition that gave a glimpse into the fieldwork that is taking place. Because it is so simple, it makes sense once you understand the intention behind the design. In the outdoor industry, Expedition aims to be the pinnacle of excellence, but I feel that it takes a more gentle approach to allowing people to coexist with nature, which is also in line with the Wanderout concept.

Folding Table System
Not only is it functional, but the high-quality, minimalist design of this beautiful table creates a dignified space. It can be used as a single table, but it is also designed to function as a modular system, so you can combine multiple tables to expand it. Furthermore, by attaching a burner table or hanging stand attachment, its functionality as an outdoor table can be expanded, making it ideal for car camping or for sharing between the living room and terrace of a vacation home.
The compact foldable table is available in two sizes, Large and Small . The table top is made of white-washed oak, which becomes more comfortable and develops a unique texture the more you use it. The top plate is double-sided, It can be used both indoors and outdoors. Because it is not treated with urethane, the texture of the natural wood remains intact, making it suitable for use both indoors and outdoors.
The stable table legs are made of stainless steel and have a beautiful, finely finished hairline finish by hand. They are equipped with ropes (Dyneema) that can be tensioned and set by turning the adjuster. You can also hang a cloth or a sherpa cup from the rope.
Burner Table
This aluminum burner table has a beautiful vibration finish. It is heat resistant and can be used to cook with a single burner or by placing pots and pans directly on it. In addition, by removing the inner plate, a large burner can be installed, so you can use different burners depending on the number of people and the food you are cooking.
Hanging Stand
The hanging stand can be used to hang lamps or cooking utensils by removing the metal fittings from the four corners of the table and inserting them into the table, making the most of the limited surface area of the tabletop. It can also be used as legs when combined with a burner table.
Carry Bag
The carry bag for carrying the table is available in two sizes, Large and Small . The cotton material is coated with white pigment and then washed to blend into the fabric. The tote bag for carrying the burner table and hanging stand is large enough to store our beloved Pico Grill fire pit and other items, making it suitable for a variety of uses. This pigment coating changes over time, making it a product that you can enjoy using without worrying about dirt.

Nowadays, many people are returning to their daily lives and only go camping a few times a year. However, I feel more deeply the importance of spending time in natural environments. In the city, I use it as a sofa table, and take it out into nature when necessary.
